hubs.travel: Automating Workation Bookings with Webflow & Zapier
hubs.travel provides curated workation trips for digital nomads, combining remote work with travel experiences. The client previously operated with a basic WordPress site lacking booking capabilities and needed a scalable solution to manage destinations, trips, and automated bookings while delivering a premium user experience.
We designed a completely new modern interface in Figma and developed a dynamic Webflow website. We built a custom booking system using Webflow forms, Zapier automation, and Stripe for payments. We implemented complex logic for managing bookings, contracts, and invoices, along with a host approval workflow, all while keeping the UI clean and inspiring.
The new platform completely automated the booking process, saving the client significant manual work. Users can now seamlessly browse destinations, book trips, and receive contracts and invoices automatically. The modern design and smooth animations have improved brand credibility, while the robust backend ensures reliable operation for scaling the business.

Externalized JavaScript
We moved complex logic out of Webflow into external scripts, allowing for better version control and performance optimization while keeping the Webflow designer clean.
Zapier State Machine
We built a sophisticated Zapier workflow that acts as a state machine, handling booking requests, host approvals, contract generation, and Stripe invoicing in a reliable sequence.
Webflow Device Configs
We utilized Webflow's advanced responsiveness tools to fine-tune the layout for every screen size, ensuring a native-app-like feel on mobile.
Social Proof Integration
We integrated review providers and designed prominent testimonial sections using Swiper.js to build trust through authentic user feedback.
Dynamic Content Management
We set up Webflow CMS collections to allow the client to easily add new destinations and trips without touching the design or code.
